I’M ON YOUTUBE!
Howdy Traveler, it’s a countdown to the end of 2020, and I think this is something to celebrate! This has been a challenging year for sure, and I hope you have been able to stay safe and healthy. One way I have dealt with the hours stuck indoors was to create a YouTube channel.
Since boating has been a great way for me to get outdoors and socially distance, I’ve gathered a lot of videos from my trips and look forward to sharing these Florida boating videos with you soon!
One of these videos will be on the Dora Canal, which you see in my picture below.
This canal is truly special and makes you feel like you are on a jungle river! In fact, the movie The African Queen, starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn, did some retakes on the Dora Canal because of its jungle-like feel.
I’ll be taking baby steps with my new YouTube channel by starting with short videos of our Florida camping and boating trips. To be sure, there is a learning curve in this for me, and I’m sure I’ll make mistakes, but it would make the whole process more enjoyable if my current website followers would also subscribe to my YouTube channel! 2021 Plans
The first thing I plan to do at the start of 2021 is to celebrate the END of 2020!
Yep. 2020 – I’m Done!
Next, I’ll be looking forward to a vaccine, and the opening of travel across the country and Canada, with my first BIG multi-week road trip to our northern neighbor in the summer of 2021. I have never taken a camping trip so far away, and for such a long time, I will be excited and nervous at the same time.
However, between now and Canada, I’ll be working on turning my popular Casita Makeover Series into a video for my YouTube channel. This will be a big project and a fun challenge, which I hope to tell you more about it in my Winter e-Letter! Till then…
